Gareth Hoskins Architects completed the National Museum in 2011. Hailed as a triumph, the renovation of the somewhat tired and dark National Museum in Edinburgh saw the opening up of the splendidly light central atrium space and the creation of several new galleries and a subterranean entrance cavern.

You’ll find everything you need to start your visit in our new Entrance Hall. Pick up a museum map to help you find your way around and check our plasma screens to find out what’s on where, and when. A cloakroom is also available here (£1 per item).
