Anne’s flats are in the heart of the capital, situated in the middle of Lothian Road, a 4 minute walk to Princes Street and 5 minute walk to the Grassmarket, Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. This accommodation benefits from a vibrant city centre on the doorstep. There are many quality shops, cinemas, theatres, art galleries, museums and the historical Edinburgh castle just a few minutes walk away. The apartments are also close to the Meadows, Edinburgh University, and the Union Canal which is perfect for a stroll or a run. If you want to eat out, you are spoiled for choice; near the flat, there are Italian, Thai, Scottish, Spanish, Indian, French and Chinese restaurants.
The apartments are located within a 19th century traditional Georgian building. They are located on the first floor, up a winding staircase of about 20 stone steps.
The bus stop is in front of our accommodation. There are a number of buses on Lothian Road which go directly to Waverley train station, the Botanic Gardens, the yacht Britannia (Ocean Terminal) and Rosslyn Chapel. The International Conference centre is 500 yards away. Also there are many local Scottish traditional pubs and night clubs on our door step. The Cameo Picturehouse, the Lyceum Theatre, the Traverse Theatre, the Filmhouse and famous Usher Hall are a 3 minute walk from our apartment.
We are situated right opposite the Edinburgh filmhouse which hosts the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Established in 1947, the Edinburgh International Film Festival is renowned around the world for discovering and promoting the very best in international cinema. The Festival takes place from the 20th June to the 1st of July.
